Copper Wire Canvas
A stitching "fabric" for applique. Originally used by Kimberly Smith to make the dragonfly wings in a needlepoint design (available through Bedecked and Beadazzled online). Use it to stitch wings, flower petals, and other dimensional elements. Carefully cut into the applique pieces, then attach to your design.

• Edges are very sharp. Cover with tape while you're stitching on this stiff canvas.
• It's a small mesh, so use Fine #8 Braid, Very Fine #4 Braid, or thin Cord for stitching on this canvas.
• This is a stiff, wired mesh originally used for gardening and other household needs. Designer Kimberly Smith started using it in needlework, as 3-dimensional insect wings.
